Taurus Forest (Mural)

Taurus Forest is based on the symbolism of the ox in many cultures around the world. Mithra was inspired by the practice of painting horns in India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. She also noticed that many traditional Asian tattoo designs often use animals to represent nature’s raw power. In this work, Mithra has re-imagined the natural habitat of the gaur, the world’s largest wild cattle -  which is native to Southeast Asia.
