Tropical Leaf

Part of AR.T Trail, Singapore’s first public art walking trail powered by Spark AR from Facebook to immerse the public in the narratives of six artworks to humanise the built environment.

Tropical Leaf is inspired by the organic lines, veins and voids observed in the fauna from this region, such as the coconut leaf. The artwork is carved out of a heavy block of marble and its composition portrays fluidity and movement. Han Sai Por has a special interest in nature, which often makes its way into her artworks.
